Ideal for grinding many kinds of tool steels, including heat-sensitive steels, at light to moderate feed rates, this 38A AO Type 01 >4-inch toolroom wheel is made with friable aluminum oxide that provides burn-free, cool cutting. Offering consistently excellent dimensional accuracy and balance, the wheel is made with a vitrified bond that works with CNC cutting tool machines along with cylindrical and surface grinders. You can also use this versatile wheel on soft carbon steels and super alloys.

These are our own brand of white aluminium oxide vitrified grinding wheels. They are a general purpose wheel suitable for sharpening high speed steel (HSS) tools and grinding most steels. They offer cool and burn free cutting and excellent wheel life all at a very competitive price. All with 31.75mm bore, supplied with 1inch, 7/8inch, 3/4inch, 5/8inch and 1/2inch bore nylon bushes. All York grinding wheels are supplied in a unique storage box, which helps prevent chipping and other accidental damage. Spare cases available. Type 1: Straight grinding wheels.
